Correspondence and translations in your preferred languages

We write to your firm in German or English, as you prefer. If you would like correspondence in another language, we provide our message in English, or German if requested, together with a translation into your preferred language. We always forward official communications in their original language. Where a translation is needed, we also provide it in the language requested by your firm. This may differ from the language used for our correspondence. For firms corresponding with us in German, we translate foreign-language official communications on request. You can set these preferences once for your firm and request different arrangements for any individual matter. The language of our correspondence and the language of translations are independent of the application’s procedural language or languages. These translations are included in the applicable service fees. Translation of the goods and services specification is a separate service charged at the stated rate.

Connect your firm’s systems

For larger filing volumes, an agreed API integration can transfer application details, notifications and documents between your software and our practice, reducing manual re-entry and routine administration.

Agreed additional work

You choose the support your firm needs. For €85, we file a response supplied by your firm in final form, without drafting, reviewing or substantively amending it. If you require a review of your draft, detailed analysis of an objection or preparation of a response, we agree that work and the fees separately. The €45 fee for handling an official communication setting a deadline includes a brief initial assessment of any office objection and an estimate for further work. Additional work is billed at the agreed hourly rate unless a fixed fee has been agreed.

For regular German and EU trademark filings, we can agree individual professional fees based on your filing volume over the last three months, the services required and how we work together. Structured instructions and an agreed API integration can reduce manual entry and routine administration on both sides. Instruct directly or review a draft

Transfer application details from your software and either instruct a filing directly or save a draft in the portal for your team to review before submitting instructions.

Receive notifications and documents

We can also arrange API notifications and document delivery, helping your team keep its own systems up to date with less manual handling.
